                                                                               golden door of freedom."
                                                                                             - George Washington Carver

This quote has many meanings to consider when you think about it, but there a few that stick out above the others. First of all, I completely and utterly agree with this quote. The first meaning that came to my head when I saw this quote was probably the most common one. Freedom is a luxury that not many people have, and it s very much golden. Education is one of the most important necessities in life. Without it, life won t be easy. If you lack an education, you are pretty much trapped in a range of jobs that probably don t place very high in society or ones that have a big salary. Since this is what I would consider as being trapped, being educated is definitely the key to having freedom in your selection of jobs and many other things. Another meaning to this quote could be that having knowledge gives you the freedom to compete in different types of competitions or get into advanced careers. It could even help find new friends and meet new people depending on what you know and your interests. If you took it to another level, this could also apply to law. If you were accused of committing a crime of something of the sort, your knowledge in law (if you studied it) could help you be cleared and found innocent. Education not only opens a door of freedom but it opens many other doors: great careers, amazing people, and being able to support a family. All in all, freedom and education go hand in hand.
